QR Code Generator — Free, Crisp SVG + PNG

Create QR codes for URLs, Wi-Fi credentials, vCards, and plain text. Download as crisp SVG (scales infinitely) or high-resolution PNG. No sign-up, no tracking pixel in your QR codes.

How to create a QR code from a URL or text

  1. Pick the QR type. Choose URL, Plain Text, Wi-Fi (auto-connect), or vCard (contact card) from the tabs at the top.
  2. Enter your content. For URL: paste the full https:// link. For Wi-Fi: enter SSID + password + encryption type. For vCard: fill name, phone, email, organization.
  3. Customize (optional). Pick error-correction level (Low/Medium/High). High survives more damage but produces denser codes. Add a foreground/background color if needed.
  4. Download. Download as SVG (best for print, scales to any size) or PNG (best for screens, web). Both are watermark-free.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are QR codes uploaded or tracked?
No. The QR code is generated in your browser. No tracking pixel, no analytics. The URL you encode goes directly to the scanner without our involvement.
What is the maximum capacity?
A single QR can hold up to ~4,296 alphanumeric characters or ~2,953 bytes. For URLs, use a URL shortener if you exceed this.
Will the QR work after I print it?
Yes. SVG output prints at any size without quality loss. For small prints (business cards), use Medium or High error correction.
What is error correction?
Higher levels allow the QR to be scanned even when partially damaged (smudged, partially covered). Higher correction = denser code.
Can I customize colors?
Yes, foreground and background colors. Keep contrast high — light background + dark foreground works best.
Does it support Wi-Fi auto-connect?
Yes. Generate a Wi-Fi QR and scan it — phones with iOS 11+ or Android 10+ will offer to join the network automatically.
